The 2019 Festival

That was quite a week!

Even the scary bits can be fun

Even the scary bits can be fun!

We had such a variety of music on offer, ranging from the nursery school children from Embsay and Brougham Street, through school choirs and individuals playing a wide range of instruments including what the Adjudicator thought to be a remarkably wide variety of orchestral instruments.  He was clearly impressed.  There were a goodly number of Distinctions and quite a batch of the rare Outstandings on the certificates and he said that, among the Festivals that he has adjudicated, Skipton's Festival was "A Jewel in the Crown".

There's a brief report of the week here and we took a lot of photos - see them here.

If you came - and feel inspired to become a patron, head over to our Patron's Page to find out more.

Skipton Music Festival is a charity which exists to promote interest and participation in music and drama. It organises an annual Music and Drama Festival at which amateur performers appear in public and are encouraged to develop through receiving advice, guidance and encouragement from a team of professional adjudicators.

The Festival is held annually in March and culminates in a Saturday evening concert. Read more here
Next year, it will be held from 11th - 16th March 2019

Online Booking

You can now book online.  That will save a good deal of paperwork both for you and for us! We had hoped that you would be able to pay, either by direct transfer ("BACS") or by using anouther online payment system, but unfortunately, for technical reasons, this has not been possible.  Of course, we will still need to receive your music by post so you can enclose your cheque with that.
