{"id":315,"date":"2022-08-30T15:44:45","date_gmt":"2022-08-30T14:44:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/skiptonmusicfestival.co.uk\/?page_id=315"},"modified":"2025-11-20T15:57:14","modified_gmt":"2025-11-20T15:57:14","slug":"2026-syllabus","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/skiptonmusicfestival.co.uk\/index.php\/2026-syllabus\/","title":{"rendered":"2026 Syllabus"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><strong>The 2026 Syllabus is now live<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This year, there are a few new classes but old-timers will find their familiar offerings.<br \/>\nOne change we <strong>have<\/strong> made is to the school choir classes.\u00a0 Some schools have been reluctant to throw their hats into a ring populated by well-resourced and sometimes selected choirs, so each Junior school now has three categories to choose from &#8211; including a non-competitive class.\u00a0 If your school has a choir, then find a hat and throw it in!<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As we did last year, we will be publishing a tentative programme for the week, though that&#8217;s not quite ready yet.\u00a0\u00a0It is impossible to produce a definitive programme until all of the entries are in, but we have worked out roughly when different classes might take place.\u00a0 It&#8217;s something we are often asked for so while we can make no promises, we&#8217;ll make an educated guess&#8230;\u00a0 For the time being, old-timers can have a good guess that the timetable will be as similar to yast year&#8217;s one as possible.<\/p>\n<p>Legislation is limiting school-time classes and so we will be operating over a full eight days 7th-14th March.\u00a0 <strong>Though we aren&#8217;t planning them just yet, we may well need to include classes on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We use Play and Perform for our booking system and you can <a href=\"https:\/\/playandperform.co.uk\/view_combined_syllabus_pdf.php?pnp_token=sp\">access the online syllabus here.<\/a>\u00a0 This version will reflect all of the most recent changes.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a &#8220;paper copy&#8221; of the syllabus available.\u00a0 In today&#8217;s digital world, there is a low demand for the traditional booklet so this will be in the form of a print-out of the definitive online version.\u00a0 It looks a bit different from previous ones, largely to avoid the problems caused by information that is presented in two different ways &#8211; which introduces differences.<\/p>\n<p>To enter any class visit <a href=\"https:\/\/playandperform.co.uk\/skipton\">playandperform.co.uk\/skipton<\/a>.
