The 2026 Syllabus is now live<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

This year, there are a few new classes but old-timers will find their familiar offerings.
\nOne change we have<\/strong> made is to the school choir classes.\u00a0 Some schools have been reluctant to throw their hats into a ring populated by well-resourced and sometimes selected choirs, so each Junior school now has three categories to choose from – including a non-competitive class.\u00a0 If your school has a choir, then find a hat and throw it in!<\/em><\/p>\n

As we did last year, we will be publishing a tentative programme for the week, though that’s not quite ready yet.\u00a0\u00a0It is impossible to produce a definitive programme until all of the entries are in, but we have worked out roughly when different classes might take place.\u00a0 It’s something we are often asked for so while we can make no promises, we’ll make an educated guess…\u00a0 For the time being, old-timers can have a good guess that the timetable will be as similar to yast year’s one as possible.<\/p>\n

Legislation is limiting school-time classes and so we will be operating over a full eight days 7th-14th March.\u00a0 Though we aren’t planning them just yet, we may well need to include classes on Sunday.<\/strong><\/p>\n

We use Play and Perform for our booking system and you can access the online syllabus here.<\/a>\u00a0 This version will reflect all of the most recent changes.<\/p>\n

There will be a “paper copy” of the syllabus available.\u00a0 In today’s digital world, there is a low demand for the traditional booklet so this will be in the form of a print-out of the definitive online version.\u00a0 It looks a bit different from previous ones, largely to avoid the problems caused by information that is presented in two different ways – which introduces differences.<\/p>\n

\nIf you have not already done so, you will need to register – but it’s not difficult!\u00a0 For some help, see “How to enter online”<\/a><\/p>\n

You can collect a copy of the entry form to print out and fill in – but remember that, for paper entries the deadline is a week earlier (19th January).

\nThe form is significantly more complex than you may be used to.\u00a0 That is because legislation demands that we collect a good deal more data.\u00a0 The online system is unchanged (it was already collecting the information) but the paper copy needs properly to replicate this<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
